Two members of the team will argue for the British Empire being a force for good, while the other two will argue that the British Empire was a force for evil. You can use your evidence sheet that you worked on during last lesson. However, you will have to argue your case in SILENCE!!! Writing Task: You are an indigenous person from a land that the British have colonised. You must write a letter to a family member explaining what life is like since these foreign invaders landed on your shores. You should highlight both the positive and negative aspects of the having these new people in your lands. To do this it is important that we practise the skill of empathy.
