In years 12 and 13 students can elect to study History for the IB Diploma Programme. Students need to decide whether to take History at Standard Level or Higher Level. All students have to follow the requirements of the Standard Level Course. At Island School, this means that all students will study the following topics: Paper 1: The Move to Global War; Paper 2: Authoritarian States; Paper 2: The Cold War; and complete the Internal Assessment (IA) coursework project. Higher Level students will complete an additional third exam paper: Paper 3: Aspects of the History of Asia and Oceania.
